Haryana Government notifies amendments to the State Air Rules; announces ‘NIL fees’ for obtaining consent to Establish / Operate projects/units covered under the Bio-Energy Policy, 2018

The Haryana Government in a notification dated 27th August, 2018, has issued the Haryana Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Amendment Rules, 2018 (“Amendment Rules”) to further amend the Haryana Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Rules, 1983 (“Principal Rules”).

Pursuant to this amendment, no Consent fee will be charged to establish any projects/units covered under the Haryana Bio-Energy Policy 2018 in a bid to promote environment friendly industrial and economic development in the state of Haryana. Further, no consent fee will be charged for the first two years to operate projects/units covered under the Haryana Bio-Energy policy 2018, to promote environment friendly industrial and economic development in the state of Haryana.
