EPFO approves opening of Regional Offices in the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh; specifies jurisdiction for each regional office

In an office order dated 25th October, 2019, the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (‘EPFO”) has approved the opening of Regional Offices of the EPFO (Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India), under the Employees’ Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provident Act, 1952, in the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.

The Regional Office of Jammu will have jurisdiction over the districts of Doda, Kathua, Kishtwar, Poonch, Rajouri, Ramban, Reasi, Samba and Udhampur.

The Regional Office of Srinagar will have jurisdiction over the districts of Srinagar, Anantnag, Bandipora, Baramulla, Budgam, Ganderbal, Kulgam, Kupwara, Pulwama and Shopian.

The Regional Office of Ladakh will have jurisdiction over the districts of Leh and Kargil.
