FSSAI to launch ‘Orange Book’, Guidelines for Food Safety, Vendor Management, Training and Nutrition for Corporate Companies

Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (“FSSAI”) through its “In the Media” segment @ www.fssai.gov.in stated that it will soon launch “The Orange Book” (“Book”) on Guidelines for Food Safety, Vendor Management, Training and Nutrition for Corporate Companies.

This Book will lay down guidelines which can be followed by the Facility Management team of corporates and their Food Vendors. The Book focusses on the presence of a Food Safety Supervisor (FSS) trained under the FoSTaC (Food Safety Training and Certification) Programme, as well as the Health and Wellness Co-ordinator (HWC) who should look into people’s nutritional requirements and meet the same in the corporate premises.
