In a Notification dated 21st December, 2019, the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (“KSPCB”) has added new industries to the re-categorisation of industries into Red/ Orange/ Green and White categories.
The revised categorisation is annexed with the Notification issued by the KSPCB.
Background:
The Central Government had issued earlier issued a notification dated 14.07.2016 for recategorization of industries into Red/ Orange/ Green and White categories.
Accordingly, a list of recategorization of industries were issued by the KSPCB on which various suggestions were received. Pursuant to these suggestions a Committee meeting was held on 10th December 2019 and after deliberation in the said meeting, certain industries have been included to the list of re categorized industries.
