Government of NCT Delhi notifies that all installations of generating units must be inspected by Electrical Inspector prior to commencement of electricity supply
The Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi (“Government”) has informed, by way of a notification dated 13th July, 2017, that all installations of generating units, including units producing Renewable Energy with the capacity of above 200 KW/215 KVA, only would be inspected by the Electrical Inspector.
With a view to ensure observance of safety measures specified under the Central Electricity Authority (Measures relating to Safety and Electric Supply) Regulations, 2010, it is further instructed that the inspection will be carried prior to the commencement of electric supply by the generating units or prior to the re-commencement after shut down for 6 months and above.
The Government has further informed that this notification is retrospectively effective 20th January, 2016.
