DGFT issues certain amendments in revalidation scheme of Authorization / Duty paid credit Scrip
Director General Foreign Trade(DGFT), vide Public Notice No. 38 / (2015-2020) dated 9th November, 2017 has made certain insertions in Para 2.20 of the Handbook of Procedure (2015-2020).
Key highlights of the Public Notice are:
- Allowed revalidation of Authorisation/Duty credit scrip without charging any fee for the delay(the period for which Authorisation /scrip holder was unable to utilise the same) or for a period of six months whichever is less due to the following reasons:
i)The Authorization / Scrip could not be transmitted to Customs Server within 15 working days from the date of issue/amendment;
ii)Authorization / Scrip has been rejected by Customs server with error Code;
iii) The request for issue of waiver of Bond/EODC was not considered within specified period.
2. The applicant shall submit request for endorsement of Authorisation /Scrip along with screen shot of DGFT server as well as Customs Server in support of his claim.
3. DGFT has also clarified that revalidation shall not apply where authorization /scrip holder had clear 6 months period in hand for utilization .
4. DGFT has further made changes in the Para 2.21 and Para 2.22 of the Handbook of Procedure ( 2015-2020). Accordingly, such revalidation orders also needs to be uploaded on websites of RA / Zonal Office for easy verification by Customs authorities.
