December 5, 2017 Assam, EHS, Industries 1

The Assam Pollution Control Board (“APCB”) has recently issued a public notice for greater interest of public and for compliance under the provisions of E-waste (Management) Rules, 2016 (“Rules”).

The public notice intends to inform all bulk consumers and domestic consumers of the State, not to sell any e-waste (electrical and electronic waste) generated by them to any unauthorised waste pickers.

All e-waste generated after end of life should be sold to only authorised e-waste collection centre, recycler, dismantler and refurbisher as per the provisions of the Rules.

You may also take a note that compliances with respect to disposal of e-waste have been captured in your Komrisk repositories.
