Application for import / export license of restricted items can now be submitted through an e-mail

Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has issued a Trade Notice No. 18/2018 dated 20th June, 2018 to clarify that the applicants seeking license for import/exportof restricted items are no longer required to submit physical copies of their application to DGFT Headquarters.

The applicants shall now be required to submit their application to the concerned jurisdictional authority through an e- mail at import-dgft@nic.in (for import licenses) orexport-dgft@nic.in (for export licenses) as the case may be, along with proof of the application fee paid, besides attaching the necessary documents for processing.

Applications are required to be submitted in prescribed pro-forma ANF-2M (for import license) and ANF- 2N (for export license) along with ANF-l (Applicant’s Importer Exporter Profile), copy of IEC and other supporting documents, as applicable. In case the applicant firm has received the NOC from the concerned administrative Ministry, the same should invariably be attached with the application.

Applicants are requested to send their attachments only in PDF format.
