As per the Food Safety and Standards (Packaging and Labelling) Regulations, 2011, clause 9 in sub-regulation 2.4.5, in regulation 2.4 has been substituted.

The draft amendment has been directed towards the packaging and labelling requirements of Light Black Pepper. The draft amendment removes the requirement of placing an Agmark Seal in a package of Light Black Pepper.

The current scenario dictates every package containing light black pepper has to bear the prescribed label along with Agmark Seal and the General Requirements for labelling.
