Vehicles must place coloured hologram stickers in windshield to indicate nature of fuel being used, says Transport Department of NCT Delhi

In a recent Public Notice released by the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi through the Transport Department dated 3rd October, 2018, it has been directed that hologram based colour stickers should be placed on the windshield of the vehicles to give an indication of the nature of fuel being used. Further to this direction, the hologram based stickers will be placed on windshield of all new vehicles, except two wheelers, at the time of affixation of High Security Registration plate (“HSRP”) immediately.

Based on the directions of the Supreme Court, the following implementation must be followed:

2.         Diesel Vehicles Orange
3.         All Other Vehicles Gray

In a similar Notification dated 12th October, 2018, the owners of old vehicles registered between 01.01.2011 to 30.4.2012 have been directed to get their vehicles affixed with HSRP along with hologram based coloured stickers, without any delay.
