Tamil Nadu Labour and Employment Department proposes draft amendments to the Tamil Nadu Legal Metrology (Enforcement) Rules, 2011

In a notification dated 19th July, 2017, Tamil Nadu Labour and Employment Department has proposed amendments to the fee structure related to licensing, renewals, verification, stamping and deposit requirement for Licensed Repairers under the Tamil Nadu Legal Metrology (Enforcement) Rules, 2011 (“Rules”).

The draft amendment Rules have proposed to substitute the following Schedules to amend the fee structure and deposit requirement as stated above:

i.Schedule-IV

 

Licensing and renewal fees for manufacturers, repairers, dealers of weights and measures.
ii.Schedule-VI

 

Security deposit to be made by licensed repairer.
iii.Schedule-IX

 

Fee payable for verification and stamping of weights and measures and weighing and measuring instruments.
