Rajasthan PCB reiterates NGT order of disposing consent applications

The Rajasthan Pollution Control Board (“RSPCB”) in a recent office order reiterated the order of the Hon’ble National Green Tribunal (“NGT”) in a case (Naveen Sarawat Vs. State of Rajasthan and Ors), that consent applications may be disposed of subject to submission of receipt of application for abstraction of ground water from CGWA by project proponents / industries within 30 days from the day on which the application for obtaining consent was made.

Industries must obtain NOC within 6 months from the date on which receipt of application for consent to abstract ground water is submitted.

Failure to submit the receipt of application and obtain the NOC will result in the deemed revocation of the consent.
