In line with the recent amendment brought about to the Payment of Wages (Amendment) Act, 2017, the Rajasthan Labour Department, by way of a notification, has directed the employers of factories to pay wages only by way of cheque or by crediting the bank accounts of employees.

Therefore, employers of factories registered under the Factories Act, 1948 (employing 20 or more persons with power or 40 or more persons without power) must pay wages to the employees only by way of cheque or by crediting their bank accounts.
