Ministry of Corporate Affairs extends the last day for filing AOC-4 XBRL form for the financial year 2016-2017

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (“Ministry”) has extended the last day for filing of AOC-4 XBRL form for the financial year 2016-2017 without additional fee till 31st March, 2018. The return filing has to be done by the company once the Ind AS based XBRL taxonomy is deployed.

Background

All companies required to prepare or ones which are voluntarily preparing their financial statements in accordance with the Companies (Indian Accounting Standards) Rules, 2015 for financial year 2016-2017, are required to file their statements in XBRL format only. The draft taxonomy for Indian AS has been uploaded since 30th June, 2017, for the stakeholders to familiarize themselves with new requirements. The development of tools that are necessary for the deployment of Taxonomy of XBRL will be completed by 28th February, 2018.
