MCA introduces National Financial Reporting Authority (Amendment) Rules, 2019; extends last date for filing annual return by auditors and introduces new Form NFRA-2

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (“MCA”), through a notification dated 5th September, 2019, issued National Financial Reporting Authority (Amendment) Rules, 2019 (“Amendment Rules”).

Through this Amendment Rules:

  1. The last date for filling Annual Return by the auditor has been extended from 30th April every year to 30th November every year.
  2. Form NFRA-2 which is the format for filling Annual Return by the auditor has been newly introduced, which was not specified under the National Financial Reporting Authority Rules, 2018 (“Rules”).
