FSSAI notifies Food Safety and Standards (Food Products Standards and Food Additives) Fourteenth Amendment Regulations, 2017

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India has issued the Food Safety and Standards (Food Products Standards and Food Additives) Fourteenth Amendment Regulations, 2017 (“Amendment Regulations”) on 12th October, 2017, further amending Regulation 2.2 of the Food Safety and Standards (Food Products Standards and Food Additives) Regulations, 2011 (“Principal Regulations”).

The Amendment Regulations has inserted and substituted certain clauses in Regulation 2.2 of the Principal Act, specifying the standards/parameters to be followed in respect of certain Oils like Virgin Coconut Oil, Flaxseed Oil, Rapeseed Oil, Palm Oil, and Edible Fats like Cocoa Butter and Peanut Butter.
