EPFO introduces free Aadhaar based e-Sign to facilitate approval of KYC, PMPRY registration and establishment registration

October 13, 2017 Labour 0

The Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (“EPFO”) has introduced a free Aadhaar based e-signing system for e-signing documents like PMRPY, KYC, Registration of Establishments etc. This is in addition to the currently in place, Digital Signature Certificate (“DSC”) verification system for employers.

This new system allows authorised signatory of establishments possessing a registered DSC to directly activate the e-Sign by providing the Aadhaar on the Unified Portal. Further, authorised signatory whose DSC is not available at Unified Portal, can register their e-Sign at Unified Portal and have it approved from concerned EPFO field office and request for enabling this free Aadhaar based e-signing system. Once the authorized signatory is registered for e-Sign, he/she can sign documents by getting OTP on the mobile registered with Aadhaar.

For a detailed guide on how to get registered under this new Adhaar based system, please refer to the user manual attached to this email.
