DGFT extends the date of implementation for track and trace system for export of Pharmaceutical and drug consignments

Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has issued Public Notice 43/2015-20 dated 1st November, 2018, to amend Para 2.90 A (vi) and (vii) of the Handbook of Procedure 2015-20.

According to Para 2.90 A of the Handbook of Procedure, 2015-20, the manufacturer or the exporter of drug formulations are required to print the barcode as per GSI Global Standard at different packaging levels to facilitate tracking and tracing of their products.

The date of implementation of Track and Trace System for export of pharmaceutical and drug formulations by both Small Scale Industries (SSI) and Non SSI with respect to maintaining the parent child relationship in packing levels and its uploading on Central portal (http://dava.gov.in) has been extended from 15th day of November, 2018 to 1st day of July, 2019.
