The Directorate General of Health Services, Central Drugs Standards Control Organisation (“CDSCO”) issued a Notice dated 3rd April, 2017 on creation of databases of drug manufacturing facilities and approved drug formulations on SUGAM portal.

With an aim to ease e-governance, CDSCO has launched the online portal “SUGAM” for filing, tracking and processing of applications for the various services rendered by CDSCO. Every manufacturer must upload details of drug manufacturing facilities and approved drug formulations. The concerned State Drugs Controller will authenticate the information that is uploaded.

The notice directs all pharma drug manufacturers to register their firms with the SUGAM Portal at https://cdscoonline.gov.in . The Registration page can be accessed from the “Register Data with State FDA” section at the homepage of SUGAM. A user manual with detailed procedure of registration is provided at this portal.

Firms having operation in more than one state have to be registered only once. Separate registration is not required for every separate state. The data regarding the facilities located in various states can be submitted from a single account. All existing users of SUGAM can fill their manufacturing facility details from their user profile.

Further queries can be addressed to the respective State Drugs Controller or at it-helpdesk@cdsco.nic.in or to Sh. R Chandrasekhar, DDC(I), e-Governance Cell at ranga.cs@cdsco.nic.in .
