CBIC extends due date for filing GST Annual Return and Audit Reports for Financial Year 2017-18 in a staggered manner

Central Board of Indirect and Customs Taxes (CBIC) has informed through the official twitter handle that the due date for filing GST Annual return in Form GSTR-9 and GST Audit Report in Form GSTR-9C pertaining to Financial Year 2017-18 in a staggered manner for different groups of states has been extended. Presently, the last date of filing of Form GSTR-9 and Form GSTR-9C returns for FY 2017-18 was 31st day of January, 2020. Now, the due date for filing of such returns for the taxpayers shall be as per the details mentioned in the below table:

Bihar, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Meghalaya, Assam, West Bengal, Andaman and Nicobar islands, Jharkhand, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, Lakshadweep , Madhya Pradesh , Uttar Pradesh 7th February, 2020
